Cygnet…

Took a whole heap of fabulous photos on the weekend, dearly wanted to paint one of the cygnets I took pics of. This little watercolour is 3 x 4″, I’m definitely going to paint a larger one, most enjoyable

Sand and Shells…

very much enjoying having the watercolours out again. My life right now is pretty hectic and having these sorts of paintings on the go is a GREAT way to de-stress and focus on something other than ‘stuff’. Recommended.

Carn Brae- watercolours

I’ve been messing around with the watercolours for a week or so, will upload more soon, in the meantime, here are a couple of very small watercolour paintings from last year based on photos from my UK trip.

Small Rocks…

When my sons were very young, they used to collect stones for me, as a sort of love gesture, I saved many of them and kept them in tubs. I pulled out a few out earlier today and painted them, great subjects for finding the¬†hidden little nuances that you wouldn’t normally pay attention to (as with the shells (posted earlier)) each stone is unique…

Recommended.

Watercolour Warmup…

I thought I’d try something a little different today, haven’t had the watercolours out for a while and didn’t have much time as I’m busy with commissioned stuff, but came up with this. Might do a few more of these down the track. Happy to sell the painting. Message me if you’re interested…
